Resurrection Sunday 2017

Picture
On Easter Sunday, Pastor Mike Spinelli talked about how our story is God's story and that He is still writing good news. Near the end of the message Mike invited the congregation to write a sentence about how God's good news has changed our story and then to come and tape it to the cross. It was a blessing to see and read some of the results. God's story does continue; it didn't end with Jesus or the apostles.        (Tim Rice)

Hang on to your seat!  It's Couch Derby

The Perk youth crew, along with newly made friends from New Eden Fellowship, participated in the annual couch derby on Sunday, May 4th held at Indian Valley Fellowship church in Telford.  The theme of the couch derby this year centered around the kitchen.  Six teams from local churches participated in the event. There are two parts to the derby: The Best Looker presentation and the Obstacle Course. Our kids built and demonstrated the MultiMeal 5000 for the judges.  Live pigs entered the back of the MultiMeal 5000 and bacon popped out the front!  This inventive idea won the crew the "Best Looker" award.  After the first of three heats of pushing the couch around the obstacle course all Adam could say was, "My legs hurt!"  Great driving Caleb! Great job Scott and kids! Lots of fun!!
