Perk Church began as a church plant with the vision to bring people from many backgrounds together to belong, grow, and serve.
While rooted in the Anabaptist tradition, our attenders represent a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences with God.
our common faith rests on...
God
We believe in one God who has no beginning or end and exists as three equal yet distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is gracious, compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the Word of God, fully useful for teaching, correcting, rebuking, and training in righteousness, and sufficient as our guide in all matters of faith and life.
People
People are God’s creation, made in his image. People chose their own path, introducing sin into the world. God actively works to redeem and restore people to himself through Jesus.
The Father
The Father is the ultimate source of all things. He embodies light and love. He pursues relationships with people through Jesus and draws them by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus
Jesus is the incarnated Son of God, fully human and fully divine. Through his life, death, resurrection, and ascension, believers receive the promise of salvation now and for all eternity.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit reveals the truth and convicts people of sin and righteousness. He draws people to Jesus and empowers Jesus’ followers to grasp the truth, to testify about Jesus, and to encourage one another.
Salvation
People are reconciled and restored to God by their confession of sin and profession of faith in Jesus for forgiveness, reconciliation, and redemption.
The Church
The church is the collective people of God, living under the authority of Christ. It manifests in many gatherings around the world, including Perk Church.
The Kingdom
God’s kingdom encompasses everything under His reign and authority. All things operate in His care and sovereignty. His plan is to bring everything under the lordship of Jesus.
The End of All Things
One day, Jesus will return to earth to conclude history and fully establish God’s kingdom. Though the exact time of Christ’s return is unknown, all Christians are called to be faithful in discipleship, mission, and worship until He comes.
